Monday, July 20, 2015
Andrea Lee, of Hermosa Beach, Calif., took the silver medal while representing the United States at the Pan American Games, earning Golfweek's Junior Girls Player of the Week honors.
Lee, a class-of-2016 Stanford commit, finished two shots shy of gold medalist Mariajo Uribe, an LPGA golfer from Colombia who has earned more than $1 million on the tour.
Lee finished at 7 under through 72 holes at Angus Glen Golf Club in Markham, Ontario. She held the 54-hole lead but relinquished it with a final-round 74, her only round over par.
Lee, the No. 2 player in the Golfweek/Sagarin Junior Rankings, helped the United States take the silver medal overall.
